Viva Wednesday Walkers

How fit are you? Moving the body is one of the key essentials when it comes to health and wellness. Walking is a free and easy way of getting fit!

The health benefits of walking include increased cardiovascular and pulmonary (heart and lung) fitness which in turn reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke. You may also notice an improvement with your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, joint and/or muscle pain and stiffness, and diabetes.

With all this in mind I decided to start up a community walking group aimed at people who were already walking, and wanted other people to walk’n’talk with while enjoying the beautiful surrounds of the Pohutukawa Coast.

We walk for one hour each Wednesday morning leaving at 9 am and we leave from a different location each week. If you’re keen and would like to know more contact for more information.
